Program Requirements

Overview 

  • Speak, read and write English and Spanish proficiently
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must be a citizen or eligible non-citizen of the United States with a valid social security number
  • College level placement into English, Reading and Math
  • If selected for an interview, interview is bilingual
  • Must obtain a passing grade of C or better in all BNFP classes
  • All curriculum offered as a cohort – cannot deviate from the course schedule
  • Courses offered simultaneously at SMCC and GWCC
  • Willing to commit as a full-time student to a 3-year, 12 month program
  • Must submit monthly BNFP Academic Tracking Forms on due dates
  • Must attend all monthly meetings and BNFP events
  • Responsible for all individual program costs
  • Immunizations – student responsibility
  • Uniforms – student responsibility
  • Negative drug screen
  • Must apply for free Application For Student Federal Aid (FAFSA) and general scholarships every academic year
